Changes coming!!

It’s almost the end of April, which means Stampin’ UP has posted the list of retiring products, and soon the new catalog will be out! YAY!! In the next couple weeks, I will be able to start showing projects made with the “Share What You Love” products, which is one of the new suites from the 2018 catalog. I can’t wait to show them to you all!!

One of the changes you’ll see is some new colors, and some returning colors…but that also means that some of the current colors will be saying good-bye. When you take a look at the list of retiring products, you may see a long list of ink pads. Don’t panic, it’s just a revamp of the cases. Most of our favorite colors are sticking around for yet another year!

Just to get you super excited about the new catalog, and so you know what to look for when it comes in the mail (if you have placed at least a $30 order with me, it’s free, if not, go to my store and place your order on June 1st), here’s a preview of the cover:

Here’s the retiring products list so you can click here to be taken to my store to place your order. Remember to check out the clearance rack while you’re there since you might find some great deals (up to 60% off) while you’re looking!

April Blog Hop means Spring is Here…

And Sale-a-Bration is officially over! I hope you were able to get your favorite items before the close of the sale because all the free items are gone for now. That means we get to focus on the yearly catalog again, which means lots of great choices, colors, and coordination. Despite the seemingly nice weather gradually rolling into the area, this has been a crazy week for me, from computer problems to celebrating birthdays to medication backfires to starting new treatment routines…among other things. With that in mind, I decided to rehash one of my favorite cards I made as a challenge called “card guts”. I had a lot of fun making it, and think it turned out cute. It still represents Spring to me. Let me know what you think.

April Hop

In this card you see the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and matching Detailed Dragonfly Framelits, Whisper White, Old Olive, and Lemon Lime Twist card stock. The ink is Basic Black, and in the middle of the black dots, which were made with the 1/2″ circle punch, are some Basic Pearls. While there are a couple retired products in this card, it’s still a cute card. Great substitutes for the retired DSP would be the Color Theory DSP or the Petal Garden DSP. An excellent replacement for the ribbon would be the Pick A Pattern Washi Tape, in Black of course, and using some Black card stock with A Wink of Stella, or maybe even some silver glitter held in place with the Fine Tip Glue.

This is a super easy, super quick card that is perfect for any Spring occasion! If you like the idea of this card, or any of the other projects on my blog, stop by my store and shop around. I look forward to becoming your Stampin’ UP demonstrator and sharing my ideas with you.
