Yes, it’s that time of the month again! This month’s theme is summer time! I know everyone has their own idea of what summer entails, but to me it means bright colors, butterflies, flowers, and a lot of sunshine! It also means being able to spend a lot of time outside enjoying these things! In order to put these ideas into a card, I used a couple bright colors, some flowers, and a couple of butterflies! Here’s my finished card:
Using the new Stamparatus positioning tool, I created the flower and butterfly wreath using the stamps from the Serene Garden Photopolymer Stamp set. (Lovely tutorial for making wreaths using the Stamparatus by Dawn Olchefske, by the way!) I used So Saffron and Shaded Spruce ink on Whisper White card stock. I mounted the wreath on Garden Impressions DSP, and then again on Whisper White card stock. The leaves and 1-1/4 ” circle are punched from the new Call Me Clover 2018-2020 In Color collection, as well as some vellum paper. That big bow on the front of the card is the Gold 3/8″ Metallic-Edge Ribbon. I used Dimensionals to pop the wreath piece up off the base card, which is also made of Whisper White card stock and Garden Impressions DSP, then decorated with a couple Basic Pearls. Nice summer-y colors with a little bit of glitz, ready to send off for a summer birthday or maybe even as a thank you card!
