Yes, I’m back to designing cards again, and working towards doing some for challenges. I received a few design challenges every week, but haven’t been working much on my designing skills…just been remotely creating the same card styles over and over.
For this challeng, we were asked to design a card based upon this photo:

I usually create cards that are clean and layered…it’s just how I think. The inspirations or this card was the “picture window”. It reminded me of the returning favorite DSP, First Frost (available beginning August 4th)…one of my absolute winter-themed papers. I also created this card for other challenges, one that used specific colors: Gorgeous Grape, Pacific Point, and Bermuda Bay, and Whisper White, as well as other challenges (Double Trouble and Heart2Heart), using my favorite tools. The little bit of bling I used here was the Basic Rhinestones. As you all know, my favorite tools are my Stamparatus, BigShot (which is currently retired, but the new machine will hopefully be available in August), and paper trimmer. I couldn’t make my cards without them.
I call this card Maybe Christmas Means…more Angels, because it is a Christmas card. I also used the Maybe Christmas Means More stamp set from Stampin’ UP!. This set reminds me of the classic Christmas movie Miracle on 34th Street. I could watch that movie as a 24-hour marathon instead of The Christmas Story!

I also entered this design in the Cupcake Inspirations challenge #498. The blue is Pacific Point, and the yellow (So Saffron) is in the DSP. This is my first entry with most of these challenges, but I had fun creating this card.
I think this might be the design I use for my Christmas cards this year. Stop back later this month for more inspiration as I’ve got my Christmas card classes currently running. I hope you enjoy checking out the different crds, and find your inspiration as well.
As always, stay creatively stamping!
