Busy life…busy stamper

As I get more involved in doing challenges, I’m finding that life is becoming more and more busy…but also a lot more fun and creative. This past week I’ve been involved in a week long challenge, but haven’t posted any projects as of yet. The next few days will be busy finishing the challenge projects, and then uploading them all. Once the challeng is completed, I’ll post my projects here.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend, and staying always creative!

Challenge Cards week 2

I am still continuing to build my skills by working on chalenges for other blogs. This week I chose 2 challenges by SplitCoast Stampers. I chose the color challenge as well as the technique challenge, and combined them into 1 card. The color challenge was to use Whisper White, Real Red and Crumb Cake together on one card. The technique challenge was called no-score modern grid.

Without further ado, here is my card for this week’s challenges:

As you can see, the main color is Real Red, but Whisper White and Crumb Cake help make this a very pretty card. I also used the spritzer from Stampin’ UP with real red ink and refill, Blends Real Red, Red Rhinestones, and the Tulle Polka Dot Ribbon layered with the Silver Edged Whisper White Ribbon. The stamp set is Beauty Abounds, one of my favorite butterfly stamp sets, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Although it can’t really be seen in the picture, the butterflies are colored with Wink of Stella for some added glitz.

Other items that helped me create this card were the Paper Trimmer, clear blocks, the Take-Your-Pick tool, Stampin’ Seal, amd Stampin’ UP dimensionals.

I had a lot of fun creating this card, and I know you will have fun as well. Give this technique a try and let me know what you think.

As always, stay creatively stamping.

Challenge cards

As I mentioned earlier, I am doing more creating for challenges. I’ve been checking out quite a few challenges, so I have a lot of not-so-crazy card ideas that just need to set to paper. I have chosen a couple challenges this week, and will still be creating throghout the week. For the firt 2 challenges, I chose the SplitCoast Stampers Sketch challenge and the sketch challenge fror Fab Fridays.

The sketch for SCS looked very interesting with the different layers, and the diagonal layer mixed in. Here is the sketch from SCS:

SCS Sketch 812

Here’s my card:

SCS Challenge 812 Card

To make this card, I chose to use Highland Heather, Just Jade, Pool Party, and Whisper White cardstocks, and to match those colors I added some of the Snowflake Splendor DSP, which is found in the new 2020 August-December Mini Catalog. I also used some of the new InColor enamel dots, and Pearl Basics jewels, as well as the Metalic Pearls from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. The banner is stamped with the Happy Birthday from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Just Jade ink. The ribbon is the Whisper White Polka Dot tulle from the annual catalog.

The card I created for the Fab Fridays challenge was based on this sketch:

Here is my card for the challenge:

I used the same colors in this card as I did for the SCS challenge. The additional color is Basic Black. The text is from the Lovely You stamp set in Just Jade ink, and I also added some Basic Rhinestones. Even though you can’t really see it, the butterflies are painted with some Wink of Stella.
