Did you know…

that Stampin’ UP! is in the middle of its Sale-a-Bration sale? Of course you did, silly question since I’ve been posting about it lately. BUT…did you know that it’s a great time to sign up as a demonstrator?? Did you know that if you join my team now during Sale-a-Bration you will get $226.00 worth of your choice of products for only $99.00 plus tax?? Stampin’ Up! will even pay for shipping to send your starter kit to you. Great deal, right!

Whether you want to sign up for the discounts on the products you’ve come to love, or because you’ve decided you can turn your favorite hobby into a business, or maybe even perhaps your friends and family share your love of stamping and can help you build your business, this is a great time to get started.  I welcome demonstrators of every kind to join my team no matter where you live in the US.

Once you join you will be invited to join a private Facebook group of demonstrators. The lead demonstrator (don’t worry, you won’t ever have to lead a meeting) holds a monthly virtual meeting, during which there is a live “make and take” video followed by 2 hours of chat and support from other demonstrators that are on the same team. These demonstrators have been building their businesses and supporting each other for a few years, and, like me, love to share their knowledge and creativity.

If any of this sounds like you, or sounds like something you would like to know more about, I would love to answer any questions you might have and welcome you as the newest member of my team. Feel free to contact me with your questions.

Stay creatively stamping!

Winter Blues?

The past few days I’ve really been feeling under the weather (or maybe the weather has just been that horrible…yep, I said it. Central NY weather is crappy this year). As it turns out I have the flu…and I’m blaming the weather. What can a person expect when one day it’s 50 degrees with lots of sun, and the next it’s 15 degrees with lots of snow. Mind you, I LOVE the snow, and the cold weather because there are many things to do in winter (like ride snowmobiles, sip hot chocolate while sitting around a camp fire before heading out on the next leg of the trail…my favorite), but this winter hasn’t been fun at all. It’s either too cold because of the wind chill, or too warm and the snow is melting, even the ice is too thin to go ice fishing. And now, the flu is rampant…because of this crazy weather…and I got it. I don’t doubt I caught this nasty bug in one of my doctors’ offices (which I’m at on almost a daily basis because of ongoing treatments or else I’d be at home) where people like me are in the same boat. But since I’m starting to feel better, I’m back to getting things done, back to the organizing, and back to the crafting…just slowly. I’ll be posting more in the next couple days again.

In the meantime, stay healthy, everyone! And stay creatively stamping!

February Blog Hop

Country INKers Blog Button ResizedHi again, and Welcome to February, and this month’s Blog Hop! The theme for this month is, of course, Valentine’s Day (and as a secondary theme, Sale-a-Bration because new items will become available on February 16th!!). Sometimes it’s not the biggest hearts filled with candy, or the reddest ones, that make the biggest impressions, but sometimes it’s the card that goes along with the gift. Here is a simple card that will stand out among others. While the peacock struts his/her stuff, the feathers sort of fall into a Valentine’s Day heart, and surround a smaller triple play of pearl embellished hearts. The greeting on this card says it all: I Just Love You! I don’t think it could be said any simpler. The triple fold of the card allows a gift card to hide inside, or maybe some other special little something (wink wink).

Even though it took a few tries to get the feathers to look like a heart, the end result turned out rather cute. This card used the Occasions sets Beautiful Peacock and Petal Palette, as well as Touch of Textures from the All Occasions catalog. For inks, if you look closely you will find Tempting Turquoise, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Rose Red, VersaMark, Pink Pirouette, and Basic Black. Embellishments were just the Basic Pearls and 1/8″ Real Red Solid Ribbon all on Whisper White, Pink Pirouette and Real Red Card stock. My favorite adhesives (Fast Fuse, Mini Glue Dots, Fine Tip Glue) were used to keep it all together.

Another project I created for Valentine’s Day, since I talk about Paper Pumpkin kits on my FB page all the time, was created from a past kit. I want to show how versatile these kits really are, and just because there are instructions that come with the kit doesn’t mean they have to be used. One of the easiest ways to earn a Sale-a-Bration stamp set or project kit this month is to preorder Paper Pumpkin kits, either with a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription. I absolutely LOVE these kits as they have EVERYTHING you need to create beautiful, simple, and quick projects…and you KNOW I LOVE simple!! With this card, I used the die-cut hearts from the January 2016 Paper Pumpkin kit to make the pop-up heart in the center of the card. The die-cut banners on the front of the card, the sequin ribbon, the ink, stamps, and the pieces of striped card stock are from the kit as well. The only things I added were the rhinestones, Whisper White scraps and the Pink Pirouette card stock.

As you can see, this wasn’t what the kit was originally was designed for. I will be re-doing more Paper Pumpkin kits as well, and planning more classes (both by mail and face-to-face) so stop by to see what’s brewing in the crafting room next!

If you would like to purchase any of the items in either project (Occasions/Sale-a-Bration sets or Paper Pumpkin subscriptions) click on the “Shop with Me” button on the right (or the top under Menu) and it will take you to my Stampin’ UP! store. Thanks for stopping by.
