After stamping out my 15 little Eskimos, all nice and evenly spaced on one sheet of Whisper White cardstock mind you, saving space for more stamping of the “reverse image” for my latest projects, I began punching them out…
I totally forgot there were other images on the punch!! Not only did I punch out my Eskimos, but I punched out bowties, circles, and hearts…right out of their little hands!
Lesson learned? Make sure you plan out your images in the proper area for punches BEFORE putting them to paper!
How many Eskimos did I actually end up with this round? 8 cute little stamped images, ready for coloring 🙂
Now to move on past my little mistake…end project soon to come 🙂

HOWEVER…the Flash Sale for CyberMonday will begin once that sale has ended. Stampin’ Up will offer FREE SHIPPING on all orders for 24 HOURS!!! As promised, I am trying out new ideas and posting new cards. Here is my first attempt at a window slider card. I liked the original card that I saw on another demonstrator’s site, so I thought I would give it a go! Not sure I like the color scheme I tried, but I will keep trying to refine my attempts. Feel free to leave comments and let me know what you think. The colors I used were Pool Party, Whisper White, Real Red, Garden Green, Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Versamark, and Rich Razzleberry. The stamp sets are Carols of Christmas and Labels to Love, two of my favorite sets from the Holiday catalog. It seems that the more I use them, the more I love them. I used the Layering Circles Collection Framelits to make the cutouts instead of punches as the original demonstrator did. Hope you like what I did and get inspired to try new projects.

Here is a card I made with Stampin’ Blends markers. I used Light Pink, Dark Pink, Light Daffodil, Dark Daffodil, Light Pool Party, Dark Pool Party, Light Old Olive, Dark Old Olive, and Light Rich Razzleberry to color the images from the Just Add Color DSP. The color lifter give shading texture to the watering can, and enhanced the texture of the leaves.
I also use the stamping off technique to create shading on the stamped flowers and leaves.
